Westminster provides the best resources for an exceptional education, giving boys and girls from Early Learning to Year 12 the opportunity to achieve more than they thought possible.
We believe that student wellbeing complements academic success. We offer superb facilities set on 23 spacious hectares, more than 40 subject choices in Year 12, around 200 sporting teams, activity clubs and ensembles, outstanding wellbeing programs, and teachers who are leaders in their field. Our focus is on developing each student’s skills and attributes, using creative and critical thinking to help them thrive in an increasingly complex world.

Academic Learning
At Westminster, we offer a comprehensive academic curriculum, including over 40 subject choices in Year 12. The breadth and quality of our learning program provides many opportunities for students to try new things, discover their genuine interests and ultimately encourage them to achieve more than they thought would be possible.

Co-curricular and Wellbeing
At Westminster, students are encouraged to select activities that complement their academic program and that provide a more rounded and balanced range of experiences. These activities not only provide opportunities for individuals to work as part of a team, but also allows students to experience a challenge and a sense of their own personal worth beyond the classroom.
Many of the activities on offer can be undertaken as either a curricular or co-curricular option, and all students are expected to involve themselves in the co-curricular program as part of their development. In doing so, it helps students develop qualities such as confidence, leadership, resilience, and social skills.
Boarding Experience
With a dedicated team of experienced, professional and supportive staff, modern facilities, and a welcoming ‘family’ atmosphere, Westminster School has steadily grown to become one of South Australia’s largest co-educational boarding schools. We welcome Boarding students from Years 7 to 12 from a diverse range of backgrounds and boast a large population of country students.

Founded in 1961, Westminster School is a leading coeducational independent school and boarding school in Marion, a southwestern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, close to the beach and the city. We are affiliated with the United Church and are active members of Round Square, an international network of innovative schools. Westminster has approximately 1,200 students from Early Learning to Grade 12.
